THE NEW ANNA 2.0 (November 2012)
We proudly present our new bag: Anna 2.0! The Anna 2.0 is made of leather, handmade and available in five colors. The bag is open at the top and close with a refined handling and a smooth twist closure. The bag is sustainable made and hand sewn with cotton thread.

The Shopping Night in The Hague has become a household name among Dutch fashion-lovers. Thursday, June 14, the shops in downtown The Hague are not only open until midnight, but they also offer high discounts. It is a pleasant evening, with fashion shows and several live performances throughout the city. On the Grote Marktstraat is again a large runway where the collection of Michael Barnaart of Bergen and milliner Rutjes Berry Jr. will be shown. The shop is open until 24:00! On the exhibition, at the cellar of the palace, you can see a couture dress by Michael Barnaart van Bergen. Barnaart van Bergen also designed a special Oranienbaum dress for the exhibition (illustration on the right), which is available at the Museum Shop.

COSTUME DESIGN DEBUT WITH 'ETEN MET VRIENDEN' (February 2012)
The stage hit 'Eten met Vrienden' is after ten years back in the Dutch theaters, with costumes by Michael Barnaart van Bergen. It is the Dutch version of Dinner with Friends, a 2000 play written by Donald Margulies and won the prestigious American Pulitzer Prize.
What begins as a dinner between two friendly couples, turns quickly to a tough confrontation. The play was translated by culinary journalist and columnist Sylvia Witteman and is played by Rick Engelkes, Miryanna van Reeden, Kees Boot and Lone van Roosendaal. Director: Job Gosschalk, produced by Rick Engelkes Producties. Stage design: Marjolein Ettema. Lighting design: Pelle Herfst.

MICHAEL BARNAART VAN BERGEN BOUTIQUE STAYS OPEN IN THE HAGUE! (February 2012)
The store was opened on 13 October 2011 by Alderman Marjolein de Jong (Culture, City Center and International). Initially, it was a temporary store, but Barnaart Bergen decided to stay at the Papestraat in The Hague.
This store sells the Michael Barnaart van Bergen collection, many of which are available for sale online. The collection is complemented by a selection of accessories and hats by Rutjes Berry Jr., with whom he regularly collaborates. The shop is in an intimate and beautiful building in the Hofkwartier, around the corner from Noordeinde Palace and the fine shops of the Hoogstraat.
Meanwhile, several items from the summer collection are already available in the store. This collection is inspired by swimwear of the '20s.
